Keep Your Blonde In Check ✔️

As we all know, taking care of coloured/dyed hair can be quite a task! Maintaining the tone and texture can prove to be moderately challenging, more so if you do not have the appropriate tools required or quite simply if you don’t know where to start. Today we’re going to focus on taking care of your Almond Latte Blonde, as it goes without saying any bleached hair needs extra care and attention if you want it to last a while.

Washing

When it comes to washing your hair, any normal shampoo will suffice, however if you would like to tone the hair to a cooler shade you can use purple shampoo. We would recommend the Bleach London Silver Shampoo, and to make sure that the colour is distributed evenly onto the hair, squeeze 2-3 spoonfuls into a sink filled with warm water, stir thoroughly to make sure it’s mixed in. Then dip the hair in for 15-20 seconds ensuring the colour is dispensed throughout. *Note that the longer you leave the shampoo in the hair, the more lilac it will turn. So if that’s not the tone you’re after, up to 15 seconds will be sufficient enough*

Conditioning

To avoid dryness and having your hair looking dehydrated, a good deep conditioning session is just what you need. After washing, we’d suggest using the Bleach London Reincarnation Mask this will nourish the hair, restore moisture and leave your hair feeling soft and smooth. We’d recommend leaving it in for about an hour but if you have more time on your hands - even better, as the longer you live it in, the more effective the treatment.

Drying

After thoroughly washing the conditioner out, comb through the hair while wet to get rid of any tangles, then place/hang the hair in a cool area and let it air dry. The reason why we recommend air drying instead of blow drying is because we try to use as less heat as possible on the hair, this ensures that the moisture is still locked in, retaining movement and flow in the hair after all no one wants stiff hair🙅🏽  Air drying also reduces poofyness of hair that you would get from blow drying.

Styling

After drying you will find the wig needs a bit of flattening, which is where the flat iron comes in; but before that as mentioned we try to reduce use of heat so in order to protect the hair we’d recommend applying the Paul Mitchell Ultimate Color Repair Triple Rescue which helps protect your hair from any damage caused by heat styling tools as well as preserving colour whilst enhancing shine. You can then straighten your hair, then afterwards massage through some Moroccan Oil Glimmer Shine (not too much as we don’t want it greasy) into the hair to keep it moisturised, soft and luscious. And just like that, your blonde is now revived and as good as new!
